When you live somewhere like Glen Allen, you understand kinship. This suburb of Richmond, Virginia has the quintessential community atmosphere relished by its residents. One Glen Allen family experienced a devastating loss – Stephanie April and her two teenage daughters lost their husband and father to cancer. Through this ordeal, Stephanie and her girls have been forced to adapt to life without their “go-to guy,” learning skills they never imagined they’d need.

The young girls’ bathroom was in desperate need of a renovation, and the three sought out to take on the task. It proved to be an overwhelming job for this kindergarten teacher and two teenagers, so Stephanie reached out to Leo Lantz, president of Leo Lantz Construction, Inc. Along with the generous donations of NARI Central Virginia companies, Leo Lantz Construction, Inc. provided the April family with the bathroom renovation they so considerably needed. This collaboration of corporations and their teamwork is an aspect of the Glen Allen community that is appreciated by so many families like the Aprils.
