We love Cary Street!

Full of history, Cary Street has some of the best examples of late 19th and early 20th century architecture in Richmond.  Residents know they have the best of old and new in this centrally located neighborhood.

Something you might not know

Cary Street is named for Col. Archibald Cary, who chaired the 1776 Virginia Convention Committee that adopted the Declaration of Independence in the Commonwealth. The Cary Family owned Ampthill Plantation in Chesterfield and the plantation house was moved to Cary Street in 1929, two years after the naming of Cary Street.
